Rust

Have any of you guys had the rust fixed or parts replaced by the dealer or Triumph.

I have jusr spoken to my dealer about rust on the chrome front fender stays wheel rim.
I got the blah, blah about wash after every ride etc,etc which I do and dry off.
The bike is always garaged.
In NZ we have a law that states that good should be of merchantible quality, and fit for perpose, as I said to my dealer if Triumph really expect an owner to wash and claen after every ride, then I am sorry the bike does not comply with the act,Hell its a motorcycle is it not meant to get wet is it not built, to get wet, hello.
I just feel if we all accept that this is the way it is, nothing will change.
Hey Its still a great bike but

Cheers

I had my engin cases start to corrode and Triumph replaced those, sure it took months to get them but their was never any issue with them honouring the warranty on them. Sounds like it's more the dealer being difficult then Triumph. Have they even asked Triumph???

Your right its up to the dealer to put it right as he sold the bike. The dealer is fine, but he would obviously want Triumph to put it right, At the end of the day its not his fault and neither is it mine,he,s the meat in the sandwich, but I wont let it go,if he doesnt stump up I will be on Triumph,s case until it gets resolved

Cheers

With my ACF-50 the only thing that has rust is the headers where it burns off! everywhere else has no rust, apart from a few bolts here and there.

ACF-50...the wonder miracle!
