It may be possible to have it repaired.
I am in the welding Fabrication biz for many years now.
If you have a competent welding shop near you they may be
able to weld it back With the right aluminum filler wire and gas
and with a little machining you may be alright?

the middle exhaust bearing cap split and it took a chunk of the lower bearing (part of the head itself)with it, still bolted together. aaahhhhhh...lol.

any ideas or suggestions?

thanks and regards,

I don't think it can be fixed, Ebay might be your best option.
I'll give you $70 for it if you like to sell it

No head in Florida

Hi again everyone. Am located in Naples FL. Have called around for a 2006 Bonneville T100 head. Best idea so far was to take the head to a machine shop and maybe they can do a sort of custom new camshaft bearing cap and needle bearing setup for that one bearing. Any input on that??

thanks and regards,

It all depends on how bad it is I have repaired many aluminum castings.
By welding and machining.
I think it is worth looking into I am sure it will be cheaper then buying a new head.
As I have mentioned above bikebandit has them for around $1.400.00.....OUCH!!!!!! now that's going to hurt.
Maybe try emailing that guy on ebay and see if he will sell you just the head???.
Good luck .
Bill

Haynes says that in the case of worn cam bearings you can have the head re-line bored. Maybe it can be done with a welded repair. I would try tungsten arc myself, cast aluminum can be really dirty.
