Think this is a good price for a used 07?
I just Got a Call from a Dealer in my state that has a 07 Bonneville with 240 miles on it.
Its Perfect. Not a scratch anywhere and has been rejetted and has the triumph offroad mufflers on it. Its Orange and white. I Know its the earlier colors but he has the title in hand stating the year. Maybe a Hold over or something.
He's firm on $6300 out the door. Warrenty until april of 09.
Think thats a good deal or should I Just buy new?

I'd suggest going to Walnecks (Cycle Trader) website and searching for similar bikes and see what they're going for.

Sounds like a good deal to me, $6300 for an almost new T100 with custom exhaust....
I bought my '05 Bonnie black in 2006 for $6100. It was the demo bike with 150 miles on it. I would definitely go for it, unless you really don't like the opal/tang colors.
Let us know what you decide!

I that that's a very good deal. I would buy new instead of taking this deal only if you don't like the tangerine/white color combo, or if you can get a comparable deal for a new bike from your dealer with zero miles and a full two-year warranty. I doubt that is possible.
Performance Powersports in Chattanooga, TN ( http://www.ppofc.com/new_vehicle_inv...=Search&page=2) has probably the most insanely low advertised prices for new Triumph motorcycles in the USA. A 2007 Bonneville T100 has an MSRP of $8299. They advertise them for $7272.
Kelley Blue Book ( www.kbb.com) is a pretty reliable indicator of value for used bikes, and they say an '07 T100 has a retail value of $6920 and a trade-in (wholesale) value of $4975. When buying on eBay, I try not to go much higher than the average between those two numbers. That would put a target price for the T100 at around $5948, only $350 less than the offer you have. And again, what you are looking at is more like new than used. You could check out www.nada.com too for used bike values.
The book value figures only have limited relevance to your situation, however, since the bike you are considering is more like a new/demo bike than a used bike with the only exception that is is pre-owned, apparently having been sold new in April, 2007.
That's my long-winded way of saying, go for the deal, if you like the bike.
Good luck with your decision.
Ned

I agree with the above, and Ned has pretty much covered the bases. At the outside he may be something less than $500 higher than the best dealer buy you could make. Of course you might luck into a private sale at less. Its not winter yet most places and more bikes will be coming on the market from fair weather riders who tried it a season and want out. That, however, is a crap shoot.
More importantly, I think, unless you do ALL your wrenching and maintenance yourself, is what do you think of the dealer? Has he a good rep? Does he have a trained service dept, and I mean trained on TRIUMPHS? Will he stand beside you and support any warranty claims.
One final thing. If he didn't mention it, you should condition your buy on getting 20-25% off any accessories purchased with the bike and 10% off for the first year. That demand costs them nothing and can add up for you over the course of the first year. I guess it should go without saying that you should pay no delivery charges, setup or freight or any of the other crap that they tack on. Just bike, tax, title, tags and a small documentary fee. [In Ohio it is mandated at $100, for instance]
Let us know what you decide, and glad to have another trumpet rider.

Why wait? If you like it, buy it. Don't think you can hold out and find a better deal somewhere, because chances are you will never find it. That's a smokin' deal on a great bike, and if you don't snatch it up someone else will.
Welcome!

Opal and Tang is awesome. around here you would have to pay way more for a new one by the local dealer adds all his various BS fees, I would score this one for sure.

Has it been titled? If not, it was probably a demo bike. Either way, that is a great deal, assuming that it is in fact a T-100, and not a tank/fender "color swap" with a regular 07' bonnie. If it's a T-100, I would think it's possibly an early 07 Hinckley model as well since it's the 06' color scheme. You could check the VIN. Good luck.
