Fly Screen Help
A very long time ago, I started this adventure to purchase my wife a fly screen for her black Thruston, with the checker board stripe. Sounds easy right? I thought so. Here's what I've found. I've been dealing with MARR (very nice people) first fly screen was for that limited paint pint job I saw offered, sorta black, silver on one side checkered between the two. We called and sent it back. We thought we had the right part number, so the second one came and it was the new Thruxton one, with the black/white racing stripe. Sent it back. OK, so we took a picture of our bike showing the checkered stripe, found our original brochure with pictures and all. Sent that to them, Scott said the factory didn't recall that paint scheme! GEEZ, I thought that was the "ONLY" paint scheme that was offered until the new racing stripe. So then they asked for the VIN #.. no one can find this part. Does anyone have one, or know if it is still available? Any help would be appriciated, it was supposed to be a B Day gift, looks like Christmas if it ever can be found, thanks again.

Heh, hah - Good luck finding that...
By your description, I'm not sure exactly what you mean, but I thinks this is the one...?

The official part number was A9748033-## in the Blue Triumph Accessories & Clothing Range 2004 Catalog, Page 17.

This custom paint kit was available for the T100 and Thrux with confused different part numbers due to mounting and moving the turn signals down.

On the Thrux it matched the Tank and Seat Cowl, with gray front and rear fenders. It was all screwed up for my T100 in a custom 1/2 year offering. We had to call the factory and getting the little mounting things right took 4 months. Mel-of-a-hess it was getting the right fitment kit IE: Thrux Bracket and Screw Mounts vs. Rivit kit Mount for normal Bonneville/T100. But I got the Fly Screen. I have both mounts and currently have the Thrux Mount installed, even though the Bonnie/T100 Mount was better, though I decided to use my own thumb Screw Mount with their bracket, rather then riviting for the Bonnie/T100. The gold Bonneville Decal across the fly is my own I added - if you can see it.

You would probably have better luck getting a generic Decal and placing it on the Black Fly Screen these days.

Good luck...

Yeppers Waltz, that be da one. I've been dealing with MADSS. (I typed it in wrong on my original post) They are very, very nice folks, but what I'm laughing/confused and frustrated with is that the factory is telling MADSS that there was no such thing ! ? All they have to do is probably walk out to thier parking lot, there has to be Thruxton there, wouldn't you think? GEEZ! Anyway, does anyone have or know of one who has one of these "rare" fly screens?
