Cortech Bags

Just wondering if anyone uses any sort of rails for the cortech bags or if they just put them under the seat? Just wondering if there gonna move a lot or rub if you dont use rails?

I remember someone addressing this before, but can't remember the answer. Try searching "saddlebags" to find the old threads. The rails couldn't hurt.

I got a pair of the MCResources rails from newbonneville.com before my trip to Nova Scotia this summer, and am very happy with them. Not only are they relatively inexpensive, but with the bags removed they are very unobtrusive. http://www.newbonneville.com/html/luggage_brackets.html

+1 with what Bobmig says. Those are really nice and very unobtrusive with the bags off or you can remove them easily as well.

If you use the Triumph grab rail here's a cheap and easy solution.

Complete instructions here:

Thumbs up 2 Thumbs up!

Ridge - that's a handsome piece of thinking! I went to your link and copied and pasted the whole thing into Word and filed it in my Triumph Folder. I would just take it a step further and powder coat them black and see how they look if I just left them on. But as you said it seems simple to put them on and take them off as needed. Good on You and Thx! One question - will it work with the Triumph High Sissy Bar and Dresser Bar? The dresser bar looks pretty much the same as the grab rail.

Thanks!

Yes, it will work with the Triumph grab rail, high & low sissy bars. The dresser rail is the exact same for all three. I thought about powder coating it black to but I figured 1.) it woudnt be long before it gets rubbed or scratched away anyway and 2). I would probablly not want them on there if the bags weren't. It really is a so easy to remove it wasn't worth painting for me.

If you do it, post a pic!

I have Cortech Saddle bags installed under the seat with NO rails.

Haven't had any problems and they've been on for 2000 miles now.

I'm buying the Tri-bag saddlebag system
http://www.tourmaster.com/xcart/prod...tid=146&cat=31
and the Nelson Rigg CL-150 Tail bag
http://www.newenoughhp.com/luggage/t...tail_pack.html

Please advise me if you find better prices than this while your hunting -
Thx - John
