Brakes`

Ok, so I just got done with a rearset swap out and Thrux rearsets look great... just a couple of minor tweaks later needed. But questions on the brakes. First, I don't have all the parts required to run the brake light switch yet, so hooked it up to bypass that (line directly from rearset to brake caliber). Will this do any harm to the electrics, like other things won't work correctly? And secondly, filling up the brakes, I noticed that after I was done I had used DOT-3 brake fluid... and the book calls for DOT-4. Aside from the thickness that I could tell, what are the differences? Thanks
Mondo

I think the DOT4 specification has a higher boiling point than DOT3.

Dbarber was right about the higher boiling point, plus I think more resistance to water getting into the fluid.
