Yea, I find more often than not that no one stops anymore. I think it may have something to do with all the new and re-entering riders that just don't know the "rules". And also, modern bikes are so much better, and more trouble free, that most people just aren't used to dealing with mechanical failures anymore. They see someone on the roadside and just assume they are waiting for a friend or whatever. Think about it, how many 18 year olds know how to change a car tire, or change spark plugs. Things that were common in the day.
Also, due to the fact that cell phones are so prevalent now, people feel like they don't need to stop, because the person on the roadside has probably already made a call.
