new mods for me too

With everybody getting into the modding spirit,I thought I`d add my 2 cents.Completed a new battery box to hold all the stuff hidden by the sidecovers and cut off the sidecover hangers to further narrow up the area between my knees..And because it turned out to be a half way decent day, took a nice ride to finally test the 140 main jet with the pod filters.Seemed to be the proper choice,as the bike easily reached an indicated 100 in 3rd and had to shut down in 4th due to LEO traffic. Also was able to finally get the background shot I wanted.

Yep,pretty shiney alright.I took the pic with sunglasses and a tinted shield on,so I didn`t notice the glare. My head is the same way.

Keep em coming - in your case there can never be too many mods. I like it better with a back fender though. Very sanitary where the side covers used to hang out. Have you put her on a scale lately?

That's a wild looking ride. Let's see some more photos of that bike!

Steve, do you ever think about getting a different tank? Like one of those that the bonnie flat trackers used back in the day, kinda similar shape but smaller than stock?

Not that anyone would appreciate a shorter range, but check out this sweet Meriden tracker I took a pic of here in town. I think this tank would look sweet on your bare-bones-bonnie:

John, thanks The rear fender is a 1 minute/2 bolt operation. If the roads MIGHT be wet,I stick it on.Still trying to get the front fender[s] to look right.
Jeff,I plan to do just that to the "flangeless" tank. I`m getting a new Honda parts bike to practice on. I could just cut off the sides and weld in some flat sheetmetal,as that seems to be the way they did it originally. That way the basic profile wouldn`t change, you just lose the knee indents. Of course, they don`t have a headlight full of wiring strewn about their frames backbone either.
