thruxton pipes on my bonneville?

I picked up some new thruxton pipes for my bonneville. Looks like I need to get the header pipes also, right?

will the header pipes and the thruxton mufflers bolt onto the regular bonneville? anyone have any thruxton header pipes? thanks

If you have the whole system, its a bolt on. Some folks have reported that they have been able to get the thruxton cans onto the bonny headers, but it takes a little finagling, so I imagine it could be done

I have the complete system on my T100 - looks great. Yes you will need the headpipes or you need to bend the stock pipes or fabricate an adapter.

Heres the system on my T100

Yes, yes, yes. This looks the best!
I don't care much for the jog in current Bonneville exhausts.

don't waste your money

I have thrux pipes on my bonnie headers. I did not fabricate or bend anything. I removed my stock silencer, pushed the clamp up on the header pipe (toward the front tire), put a little high temp silicone sealer inside the thrux can,put the thrux can in place, put the rear footpeg through the hole, positioned the rubber grommet, put the nut on the foot peg 1 ot 2 turns, put the clamp over the can and tightened it on the header to get a good seal, then tightened the nut on the foot peg... then repeat. no bending, fussing or cussing...or exhaust leaking. and no extra dough for headers.

Thrux Cans fit on my T100

I was able to mount a set on my stock T100 header pipes. Soulrebel was right on with the process to mount them. I recently replaced the rear pegs with a bolt&washer to give it a solo look and painted the headers black. I have a photo in my album if you want to take a look prior to my recent updates. Go for it!!!

I am looking into bending my headers to fit either Thrux cans, or emgos (without adaptors). I need the clearence for rearsets not to hit the pipes on the shifter side anyway. But what would you use to bend, would a one time use torch from walli world work? And would you do it on the bike or take it off? I never tried bending pipes before, and just seeing what I am getting myself into here.
Thx, Mondo
