Should anyone be interested in purchasing a Baker tank
http://www.tabaker.co.uk/
ask them to install an integral vent pipe as shown fitted to the Slippery Sam tank on their website. Mine was not fitted with one and fuel would spill out through the Monza cap's venting system with the tank more than half full. The photo of the tank on their website shows a vent pipe. They are now aware of the issue, so hopefully, they will go back to fitting a vent pipe.
It was too much aggro to sent the tank back as Bakers are 300 miles from me. With a bit of lateral thinking, I have used a cranked valve stem as fitted to the Daytona front wheel. All I am waiting for now is the in-line no-return valve sourced on Ebay, which will be fitted to a of clear tubing and it is job done.
The steering damper is back on following minor adjustment to the frame mounting bracket to clear the larger tank.
