Someday...

I'm going to do something like that. It's an itch I'm going to have to scratch.

Great story.

Arrow Who wouldn't want to take the Big Trip?

I'm thinking that every person who reads this is fantasizing, like myself, about the "BIG Trip" that we plan in the back of our minds but unfortunately still have not gotten the opportunity to accomplish yet! I can find myself 100 miles from civilization or delegating with 14 year olds holding fully auto weapons at military stops during my yearly trip across the Mexican Peninsula, but this is over the top. These guys are hardcore... yet I find myself wanting to do it. Weird how the mind works.

Angola

Thanks for the thanks for posting gentlemen, I appreciate it, I had to post it even though it didn't involve Triumphs but it was such an amazing story I figured y'all would want to read it.
I, too, was freaking amazed at the cojones these guys had, some of those pictures of the "trails" they were on, especially the rocky ones boggle the mind.
Not only that, as one of you commented, these kids running around with automatic weapons would scare the dog-shat out of me....and I like guns....!!
Amusing too, were the pictures and the comments about the comley young ladies....
The thought of taking off into wild country where even the most rudimentary medical help was six days to two weeks away would have to sober up the worst of alcoholics for sure....it would seem the stress level of that would be off the charts....
Some of the commentary on spills was amazing as well....where the guy dug himself out from under his machine using his helmet to prop the bike up....dad-gum what an ordeal....
You certainly would have to be resourceful.....in all cases...and what a load they carried...(the pic of the petrol cans).
I look forward to seeing a book on that one....it needs to be written....
Glad y'all enjoyed the post...
Bill

Bill - correct me if I'm wrong, or maybe I missed something here but aren't we all waiting on the rest of the story? Your last post sounds like you just wrapped the whole thing up and we can move along, there is nothing more to see here? I'm anxiously waiting for the rest if it is out there?
