Talking lucas turn signals

anybody installed the lucas type turn signals in place of the current turn signals, using current tail light location?

Yep. Used the original bracket behind the lamp to fix them, and also a sixties style Lucas taillight w/license plate bracket. As the original bracket is a little bit assymetrical, the stems have to be adjusted to be square on the fender. In front it is bolt on, only have to widen the mounting hole little bit. Also on aft bracket this is necessary. Wiring have to be spliced into the original wires, or a new harness for the fender to be made. No big deal.

I did it exactly the same as TT. Had the number plate (purchased from bellacorse.com) powder coated matte black. Installing it, and all 4 signals, took an afternoon. Nice retro look.

hmm, I got the lucas lites kit, the whole thing was bolt on, and it came with wiring that already had the correct connectors on.
however, using the original bracket sounds like an idea, the new set-up uses plastic spacers between the lite and the fender that I am not all that fond of

I got the same kit if it came from Brent. I already have the front blinkers on and I'm doing the rear blinkers and Lucas tonight.

Fellas - I'm done with Phase 3 modifications. I took the rear fender off, Put the High sissy bar Dresser Bar permanently on, put the new Bobbed fender on, installed the Lucas light with rear blinkers and finally OFF with the Chain Guard! I have many pictures that I will post on Monday - no Tuesday; Monday I have a high stakes golf tournament (my other passion since I was 9 years old).

Couple of things - I bought the Lucas light and blinker kit from Brent and it is a very easy plug and play installation. Even though it is a little on the expensive side, it is a quality mod.

Anyone who buys the OEM Triumph sissy bar (I got mine from Scott at MADSS) I can 100% tell you that it comes with everything you need to mount it in the kit. You do NOT need a grab rail as well. It comes with a sort of grab rail which is called a Dresser Bar that you permanently install. Then it is just 4 bolts to put it on and take it off. Yes I took pictures of this setup as well.

One of the things I was concerned with was if my thumbscrews for my seat would still work with the permanent Dresser bar installed. Well, I'm happy to report that they still work very easily with the Solo Seat and Rack and the K&Q seat even with the sissy bar installed.

Time Saving Note: If you are going to use the K&Q seat with the sissy bar you will need to put the sissy bar on last or you will not be able to get to the thumb screws. No big deal just remember - the sissy bar goes on last and comes off first.

Yes BonneLass I used Blue LocTite on everything!
