I'm going back to the OEM grips from football grips (I want the clean look of the originals) and the new throttle side comes with the inner tube. It requires the cable being switched out and I've read this requires finesse. Can anyone offer me any help with this job? Is there anything to know about opening up the throttle/brake line/etc. housing?

Remove 2 screws to open the housing. One on the front in a recess the other is underneath.
Once the housing is opened twist the throttle open.
Carefully clamp needle nose vise grip pliers to the upper cable.
Use just enough clamp force to hold the cable and keep it from sliding - do not crush the cable.
After the cable is clamped release the throttle slowly until you have enough slack to work the cable out of the holder.
Now hold the end of the cable, at the disc, and release the vise grips.
Slowly let the cable back while twisting the throttle closed.
You should now have enough slack to remove the lower cable.
Remove the old sleeve and install the new one.
Reinstall the cables by reversing the above instructions.
