AI removed

I got kit from NB to remove the Ai....very easy.Although I couldnt get the tubes out without cutting them.I guess i'll never need them.I tried to make a wrench to fit them, started to round out the nut.So I cut them, fit a 13mm deep socket came out nicely.Next the airbox.Bob

I had to do the same thing, cut the tubes and use a 13mm deep socket to remove the cylinder head bolts.

Here's a pointer for people doing this procedure in the future. Put some Liquid Wrench on those cylinder head bolts a couple of hours (or the night before) you try removing them. I did that and was able to remove them with a 13mm wrench effortlessly without cutting.

Go buy set of dog leg offset closed end wrenches

they are box end and have the box set to the side and flat about 1", these will remove the tubes slick as a whistle, plus very handy for bike work. And for penetrating oil there is only 1 good one, Aerokroil, from Kano laboratories, this stuff is the smallest oil molecule commercially produced, will slide through a gap 1 millionth wide. It is also the best carbon, and varnish cleaner you will ever find, makes pb blaster and wd-40 look like water!, and is safe for all weird alloys, it was developed for the aircraft industry for use in freeing exotic metal fastners. It will not stain any metals like a lot of the penetrant cleaners will. (no I don't own stock, but I give cans away all the time, also the BEST cleaner for guns will cut the hard carbon fouling better than any thing and is safe for all finishes, if the barrel is leaded soak with this stuff leave a day or two an just brush out the lead.)
