So, how many of us here bought a bike or the bike from Ebay?

I did - my 2001 Bonnie. But it was from a dealer so it was serviced and MOT'd before delivery.

Any more?

yup I bought my 2001 through ebay but from a private seller. 1800 miles on a 5yr old bike!

I didn't but sure looked when I was shopping. Ended up finding my 2001 on cycletrader and my 2002 on craigslist.

i bought my 06 tang/white with 584 miles on it sight unseen from someone in maine. i live in new orleans. i couldn't be happier

I bought a 1989 Honda GB500 with 240 miles on it from a guy in Reno sight unseen, and it was one of the better transactions for anything I've ever had. Pretty cool when the transporter showed up in Jersey and the bike came out to it's new home. There are scams galore on eBay, but it's a truly remarable platform for bringing together buyers, sellers and enthsiasts.

Bought my 2006 Bonnie with 500 miles from a Texas dealer about 3 weeks ago. The bike shipped yesterday so it should be delivered next week I think. So far everything's been good. I'll let you know how it looks when it arrives though. The fingers are crossed.

I literally put my max bid in 7 hours before the auction ended. So spent the whole day biting my nails watching to see if anyone was going to bid against me. Previous bidders hadn't made the reserve.

The dealer had her on the forecourt at £700 more than I ended up paying. Photos were good and showed a couple of scuff marks on one of the side panels. As it turned out they weren't scuffs at all just a bit of dry polish.

So bid on the Thursday, won the bike. Went to dealer the next day - Friday, paid by Mastercard, bike delivered the following Tuesday.

Full history of the bike all bills/services etc.

Couldn't have been more delighted!

I looked on ebay but really wanted to see the bike and meet the owner if possible. I did find my bike on craigs list though.

Found it on the RAT forum...was already on 'craigslist' and headed for ebay. I bought shortly before the ebay listing.

Bought my Bonnie new... but I have purchased several classic old hondas off eBay. Only one of them ('71 CL350) was less than what I expected. So I turned around and also sold that one on eBay. The others ('70 CL70, '71 CB750, '73 CB350F and '78 CT90) I still have in storage.
