Fitting Motrax Little Ben clock onto Bonnie

I have bought a Motrax Little Ben clock to fit on my Bonnie T100. It comes with a bracket that can be fixed to any 6mm bolt. Has anyone fitted one of these, if so can you recommend the best place\bolt to use. Also will the bolt selected have to be torqued up when fitting the bracket. Here is a link to a picture of the clock & bracket (about half way down the page).

Other Motorcycle: Don't need another one!
I used to have one of those on my T100. I fixed the bracket to one of the (four) bolts that hold the instrument panel to the top fork yolk so it sat below the speedo. Only trouble was that the sticky pad holding the clock to the bracket was pathetic. The clock would slowly slide down the bracket until it was hanging off. I subsequently spoke to a mate who had had one and his fell off never to be seen again. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but I wish I hadn't paid £20 for one. You may have better luck. I got one of these - http://www.triumph-bonneville.com/pr...roducts_id=101 to fit to the "stem nut". Looks like it is part of the bike and much neater than having a clock stuck on a bracket. Plus it doesn't fall off!

Thanks PAAS. I thought about the bolts you used as it looked like the best option as there is no suitable bolts around the clutch or brake lever clamp as on some bikes. I was going to clean the surface of the bracket and the back of the clock with meths to degrease it as I wondered how long the thing would stick, now I know!! I did look at the stem nut clock you got but thought, what £40 for a clock!!! Teach me to be a cheap skate!! As I have got the Motrax now I'll give it a try if it doesn't work out I'll bite the bullet and get the stem nut clock.

Thumbs up Formotion

I have the ForMotion Clock & Temp and I love them. I mounted them where the other guys recommended as well but the only problem is they are a little crowded so I think I have to make some longer brackets which will bring them out and up a little.

Yes I know that the Temp is not a racing Tacho and I have to spin it back and tighten it!

I took the high tech Wal-Mart approach...

Go to Wal-Mart, select a childs watch with a hefty velcro strap....wrap around 'TRIUMPH' bracket on bars, and ride...remove when you leave bike.

Total cost...about $4

Regarding the temp gauge, I've read that they are not accurate when your bike sits in sun and wind influence.

I put on a $6 meat thermometer that has a four inch stem in a sheath. Gives accurate temps and just attached it to my bar and windshield post.
