Keihin 35mm Race Carb Question

I am having the Keihin 35mm Racing Carbs installed. My freind installing them has explained to me the spicket is too short and the carbs look like they are not securely installed even with the brace from the air box elimin. kit. It appears as if the spicket needs to be about 4mm longer in order to get a good bite. Yes the "O" rings are installed.
Has anyone else had them installed? Any suggestions?

MAR, no problems installing mine, but dialling in is a different story! Put the spiggots on the carbs first and than attach to the inlets.

I made my own bracket to the Airbox elim as I didn't have a brace supplied, that may be the diff?

I have tried to put the spiggot on first. Makes no difference. There is a eigth inch gap between the spiggot and the rubber manifold. also when I tighten the clamp to secure the carb, it slips the carb off after a slight turn.
I am taking the spiggots to a machine shop to turn them to remove an eigth inch of thread off of it.

Not sure then, From memory I removed the screw in adapter from the carbs and then basically screwed this in to the rubber manifiols as far as it would go, so effectively using the adapter thread as secondary holding and tightened the hose clamps to the stops.
I then screwed the adapters back in to the carbs and fitted the carbs to the inlets, again screwing the hose clamps to the stops, without any problems. Then braced them.
I can send you photos if it helps? Are you missing the adapters possibly?

A photo would be great. What adapters are you referring to? Where I am having the problem is the rubber manifold that connects to the carb spiggot does not have enough surface area to actually secure the carb. The carb comes off when the hose clamp in installed. Looking inside the rubber manifold there is about an eigth of an inch space from the spiggort and the manifold seal. This rubber manifold needs to go further on the spiggot about another eight of an inch.
I have the carb brace from my air box kit. Even with that, the carbs are not really securely fastened.
