Question Thrux/Bonne left switch housing removal ?

My bike fell over in the garage (and why wouldn't it, it had nearly 1,000 miles on it) and the turn signal switch on the left clip-on broke, so I purchased a new one. I'm installing the new one now.

The switch has two plugs--the big one that plugs into the wiring harness in the headlight housing and a smaller one that plugs into the lever housing. My question: Do you remember how to get the existing smaller one out of the lever housing? Is there a little "button" I need to push somewhere? Do I just yank it? Just don't want to break anything, and I've pulled pretty hard to no avail.

Thanks!

Not sure

I'm not sure about the Thruxton switch as my Bonnie is hard wired - no plug just solder.

The majority (if not all) of Triumph connectors have some form of release mechanism, as you say a lever or catch of sorts

When I replaced the whole left side control unit I wasn't too concerned about damage so I took a flat-head driver to it and it eventually popped out. Unfortunatly, I don't recall what the mechanism was (there was one as the new plug snapped in nicely) but I can take a look at the one that I yanked off when I get home.

OK, i just had a look and it's painfully simple. On the underside of the part the clutch lever attaches to, right where the plug is, there is a small window. Use a screwdriver or anything else that fits to push up. There is a tab on the plug and with a little tug it will pop right out.

I hope this makes at least a little sense. It's been a long day.

Yep--got it--little window on the bottom. She's now good as new.

Thanks all.
