Can't talk...Riding
In conclusion to my Ducati vs Bonnie post.
I picked up my new Triumph Bonneville T100 Jet Black/Tornado Red. The dealer just had to take a photo of me and my huge grin standing next to her.
I took it straght over to Turn-One Motorcycles so Charlie could do his magic. He is T H E master. Picked her up yesterday morning. I was lost for words. Charlie fired her up, the sound of the Staintune reverse cone pipes was enough to nearly make me mess up my Kalvin Kliens. I wrapped my legs around her...she felt nice and tight, no more play in the throtle, instant response, breaks no longer feel spongy. Final word from Charlie...Enjoy!
Without wanting to start a debate on correct break-in method, I took her out for a gentle stretch to warm up, then onto the open road to " Ride her like I stole her! " Fan-bloody-tastic!
I took her home to meet the family then went for another ride through Warandyte. Back home to wipe her down, then off to let her meet my bother, then off through the Dandenong Ranges. Finally got home, wiped her down fired up a Montecristo Especial no. 2 and just sat and smiled.
Its 7:00am on Sunday now. Going for another ride.

Congrats, Stoogsy!!
Amazing how my Bonnie keeps whispering "come ride me" and how once out there: "just a little further" and "oh, how about that road there..."

Excellent choices Stoogsy! I too have a black and red T100 with Staintune reverse cones.
What else did Turn-One install on her? Snap a few digital pics for us all to enjoy... would ya?

pure enjoyment...
you know, what more could you really want then a Bonnie!! I have ridden a number of bikes over the past 30+ years and my 05 T100 is just perfect for me. It is so easy to ride, probably just a bit more power then I really need, better then most on winding roads and it LOOKS SO GOOD!!
I went on an organised ride yesterday (motorcycle riders assoc of which I'm a member and a christian MC club). A good turn out with about 30 bikes of which 5 or so were Triumphs. (2 sprints, a brand new speed triple, a Tiger and my Bonnie) It was a perfect spring day in Adelaide and I even got to take the liner out of my jacket! It is SOO good not to get cold fingers. We did about 250km mainly through the hills with lots of sweeping curves. The kind of roads the Bonnie loves!!!

Congratulations on the new Bonnie. I almost bought a T-100 this year, but I came home with an America instead. Both are outstanding bikes, so I wish I could have one of each. Ride safe but have fun.

Stoogsy -Congrats from me as well Ducati v bonneville.I like both bikes and ducati had allways been my bike .but there a bike i felt i had to really be up it to enjoy riding the thing, and after throwing one down the road i thought iam getting to old for this boy racer stuff, but with the bonneville once youve liberated the mtr its the best of both worlds and a much more relaxing ride.
i will never sell mine ,youve made a great choice in my opinion..

Plan on putting at least 100,000 miles on mine. Handles great, easy to work on and the looks never get old.
Glad you're happy with your purchase. I bet your bike sounds and looks great.

Congrats Stoogsy! Ride the wheels off her. BTW, this is one high you never come down from. I've never had a bike that pulls at me so much.
