Bar end Mirrors

Yes I know it's been done to death but I'd like some specific advice.

I have some nice stainless steel bar end weights which I dont want to lose. They screw into the plug inserts in the bars. I have M bars.

I bought (very cheaply) 1 EMGO mirror to test.

Any Suggestions on how I can mount them both on the end of my bars?

I'll probably need to trim the EMGO in some way as it would normally insert into the end of the bar.

Or should I buy a better mirror that doesn't need modification?

thanks!

buy the better mirrors

Get the FOLDING type of bar end mirrors. about $80 bucks if you don't get the folding type you will kill one sometime somewhere while you are moving te bike around!

EMgo mirrors suck. They won't last near as long as some napoleons (what emgo copies). There are other nice mirrors too like the crg, and some others I cannon recall the names of, but you get what you pay for with mirrors.
Why do you need bar end weights if you have the mirrors there?

I must post a retraction here. I have said that CRG's do not vibrate at all. Well, at 80 mph. in a fairly stiff wind they may buzz just a tiny bit, but the rearview is still clean. There, now I feel better.

CRG pimping

Agree with davidc, crgs have no vibes until 80 mph and up and even then it's minimal. overpriced and worth every penny.

Anne,

I had bar end weights and put off going to bar end mirrors for as long as I could. At some point I got tired of not being able to see past my elbows with the stock type mirrors.

I wanted to go with CRG mirrors, so I researched all my options. Since I had to loose my bar end weights, I found I should be able to solve my dilemma by adding a Bar Snake.

The combination of CRG mirrors and a BarSnake works extremely well. I have the mirrors I wanted and no vibrations what-so-ever. The CRGs are the best mirrors available IMHO.

I honestly don't remember where I first learned about the BarSnake Cynr. But I'm here to tell you... it does a good job of dampening handlebar vibrations.

Do you remember which model of bar snake you used on your T100?
What a great concept. Best tip I've read in a long time. I'll be ordering up a bar snake for my Scrambler!
