Taillight assembly removal - what am I doing wrong!

I'm trying to remove the stock tail light and signals on my 09 Bonnie SE and cannot find connectors for the blue, red and black wires that connect the tail light. The only way I can see to remove the tail light is to cut the three wires that connect it. I cannot believe that Triumph would direct wire the taillight all the way to the block connector, because you can buy replacement assemblies from them that do not include the harness.

I have sliced the rubber tubing about 4 inches so that I could see the only anomally I could feel , which turned out to be the negative wire splice for the turn signals. The only other thing I can think of is that the wires somehow come out of the back end of the socket (in photo) but I cannot for the life of me figure out how.

What am I missing?

You are correct; there is no connector to disconnect these 3 wires.

You can however quite easily disconnect each wire individually from the 6 pin block connector at the other end. There is just one single tab holding each pin in place in the block connector, using a small flat screwdriver you can release the tab and it’s then easy to pull each wire out from the rear. Although, if you still want to use this wiring loom for a different rear light it will still need to be cut at the light end.

Thanks for this. One last question: Does anybody know what the OEM connectors are called? I have male ends for the new signal lights so I don't want to change all of those. I may as well get three more to connect the tail light.

I think your best option is to cut and maybe fit something like this Molex 3 pin connector:

I'm currently changing my rear end and using this type of connector to a stock harness for the rear light.

If your new turn signals don't have the right female connections BellaCorse sell them:

I'm not sure if they ship to Canada though, there is a guy in the UK who also sells them on eBay, but again I think it's only shipment to Europe.
