More light

been looking into getting a brighter headlight for the bike and I found a new bulb that might be a realy inexpensive way to improve things, its A headlight bulb that throws 50% more light,20 mtrs longer beam, and only $29 I havent tried it out, but the guys in bike shop have had very good feedback on the product it has stock bulb specs H4 12V 60/55W..

More Light

I had to get spare bulbs to go travelling in France this summer (legal requirement) so I got one of these +50% bulbs and swapped it for the stock issue. There are a number of manufacturers over here doing this e.g.Osram, Philips, Halfords and mine gave a noticeable improvement over stock for little outlay. There are other threads you can check out for putting in sealed beam units and CIBIE replacement headlight units which can give a better light spread than the stock lens but this is a cheap and easy first step.

I use the PIAA H4 55/60 watt anti-vibration. It was pricy but the light is so much better-pattern and color. After almost hitting a SOFA (yes, a sofa) in the middle of the road at night (so close it knocked my left foot off the peg) I upgraded the headlight. Much better.

I upgraded the sylvania H4 silverstar, and visibility increased considerably.

King, please do tell us the sofa story! I appreciate any feedback on lights. I'm looking to upgrade myself.
