Burnt sap on headers

I parked the bonneville under a tree that dropped a bunch of sap droplets on the bike. Because they were clear, I didn't see them until after riding home. Now I have a bunch of brown, burnt tree sap droplets that are proving very difficult to get off. Suggestions?

Can only think of hot water and soap, kerosene, WD40 or diesel which are non abrasive maybe a color restorer polish we use a product called T-Cut over here which is slightly abrasive or autosol which is not recommended for new crome

Wont it just burn-off in some time? I know that not the answer you were looking for, but just wondering?

Flitz!
Works great. I've used it to get all kinds of burnt on crap off my exhausts and it doesn't dull the chrome.

If these spots are on the EXHAUST PIPE you can use paint remover. What ever you do DO NOT ALLOW it to get on anything else. Let it sit a minute and it will wipe right off. I use it to remove heel maeks on my pipes. If its on any other surface, goo be gone, bug and tar remover, and clear coat scratch remover. Be careful with red and white componds..

I'm disappointed stealth - no WD40? But you say Goof Off is related so I guess that's OK.

Me? Chrome polish and elbow grease should do the trick.

Ernie.

Second thoughts

Tree sap is what turpentine is derived from. Try that BEFORE you burn it in.
