Question Suspect Cam chain tensioner

I'm getting a metal jingle from around/in the engine when I change the throttle position.
I'm suspecting the cam chain tingling the tension plate and that the auto adjust isn't auto-ing
Anyone any experience with said beastie?

it's a pretty simple device, merely a ratchet mechanism with a spring, I doubt it is your problem, what have you done to the bike lately?

No service work save for drive chain adjustment. Sound not coming from that quarter.
7500 miles on 1 year old machine.
As you are from Texas I will describe the sound as jinglebobs on a set of spurs, a faint jingling of thin metal.
Seems to happen when engine is in coast, but not always.
I was inclined to blame some slack between the pressure plate and the chain.
No problem taking off the adjuster once I have the seals.
I was more looking to see if anyone could confirm the source or offer an alternative.
Any input germain.
