904,EFI headers and FCR's ?

Specifically headers. Lookin at thruxton efi headers, to go on 2001 carbed bonneville.
The bike, I've put in the wiseco kit cleaned up the head, original inlet manifolds matched, running FCR39's with K&N pods, no airbox pie man ignitor. Running @72rwhp Original cams.
Current exhaust, original headers and staintune peashooter's .

I've got a set of staintune reverse cones for a thruxton, and want to match with the thruxton headers. Have found a set at a good price, that are efi.

I know this should physically work fine, but want to know if this will work in the tuning sense with my current set up for a little more Hp ?. ie no issues with efi and FCR's

Is there a daimeter difference between carb and efi headers, which is better ?

I did have the BC 2 in 1 on there, they sounded great, but for me they are way too loud. I did have a baffle made up to go into the joining pipe, this made them sound crap and didn't do a lot on the dyno either.

Or do I get a set of headers made up, if so what's the best daimeter to go with and still use the staintunes, stepped header etc .
Sorry for the long post, thanks miles

Hi Your much better getting Thruxton headers from a carb'd bike, the bonne ones are smaller and restricted. Your inlet manifold needs to be the billet type as the stock ones even when matched don't flow the same. K&N pods will loose you a couple more hp as will quieter silencers. Uni filters are the best for the FCR39's K&n filters are well documented to flow well less. D&D do a very good 2-2 Stainless system, that has larger headers and free flowing silencers that are not too loud. Another to look at would be Carb'ed Thruxton headers with shark silencers. Hope this helps.

Thank you both for the replies.
Chris I believe the billet manifolds would be better, didn't come with the kit I bought though. I've got a set of Uni filters that I should try next time at the dyno. They were meant to go on the original carbs but seem to fit ok on the FCR's. I do like the look of the d an d full system, no good at the moment though with the Aus to us conversion rate. The bc 2 in 1 I picked up for 650 au, there now asking 2100 au. So will hold off.

Rich, thanks thats the info I needed. Funny that the larger daimeter makes it harder with the efi pipe.
Makes it tricky if you were to get a header pipe custom made up
Any way cheers to you both I appreciate the help and input.
Thanks miles.
