Anyone towed a trailer w a Bonnie?
My dad gave me $2K for my (gulp) 40th birthday to buy a trailer for Bonnie. It would be great for me as I could then take my bike to work sometimes instead of the truck. I'm a surveyor so I have some gear. Here's what I'm thinking:
Any suggestions??

Get a side car, way cooler, No offence but ya might as well stamp "Yuppie" on your forehead if you're towing a trailer.

If it works for you go for it!
IMHO a side car would be a big mistake... to permenant a fixture.
After all it's only for work right.
Failing that you could use the car and go on a really good riding holiday instead.

I thought about a sidecar, and I've never ridden one so I don't know for sure, but don't they handle funny? No banking, counter-steering? I don't like the sound of it........

I beg to disagree. I can disconnect my Thruxton mounted sidecar and to be off to ride the twisties in just 15 minutes. I often load the hack with tools, groceries, children, girlfriends, etc...not all at the same time.

Before having the hack attached, I had never ridin with a sidecar. It didn't take long to get used to it. Yes, it does steer differently...opposite of counter-steering. It's a lot of fun in it's own way. Flying wheelies are especially a blast. It definitely attracts a lot of attention.

Trailers are pretty cool. Back in my Beemer days I had a buddy who towed a little trailer with all his gear in it with no trouble at all. Can't remember the name , but it was very slick and light. Held a lot of gear. He rode a 82 R100RS which had about 60 HP -almost the same as the Triumph. Not hard to fab a hitch and wire it up-Google some sites and we what you find-go light!
Good luck.
