Hey, Stealth, enjoy it. Try to stay off the superslabs. I made the run from Washington DC to Daytona for many years in the 60s and 70s. Used 301 a lot when I wanted a direct route and if in no hurry mapped out a route further inland to hit some foothill areas. Much prettier if you hang a left at the SC border and head west a hundred or so. BUT:
Ride, don't drive.
Seriously, it is interesting how language varies from different parts of the country. In the midwest there are "drivers" who "drive" anything with more than two wheels. People on two wheels are "riders." Here, nobody "drives" a motorcycle. If I hear someone talking about "driving" his motorcycle, or, better yet, his "scoot" chances are he isn't from here and chances are he's from somewhere pretty far south.
