Cool 1500cc Twin

If we are to believe Triumph are about to release a 1500cc twin will it have a 360, 270 or 180 crank fitted?

my guess is 270, a 360 variant would make sense too but I'd bet the farm we won't see a 180.

I was wondering that too. With all that displacement I don't see why not. H.P. is already at your disposal.Torque would be around the corner. I wonder, will this be a cruiser? More like the Bonneville? Mid-mount controls?Or buff like the Speedmaster-kicked-back,you know (zen and the art of motorcycles).

1500cc Big Twin

The picture on MCN really doesn't answer any questions regarding exterior design. I'll show some interest if it is performance oriented in terms of being water cooled and fuel injected. Styling I would like to see it in the Speedmaster/America design family. A 240mm rear tire would be just fine as well. However, a huge, ugly radiator, ala Rocket III, would not endear me cosmetically . I don't understand why Triumph didn't at least try and make said radiator more of a verticle design as opposed to the boxey thing they attached to the rocket, unless they were concerned about air flow. I noticed a custom Rocket III on Metric Revolution failed because of their enclosed radiator design due to over heating. If it is water cooled, at least put some cosmetic fins on the cyclinders, similiar to what H-D has done with the V-Rod. Triumph has done a good job with their Urban Sport line, e.g., Speed Triple 1050, 675 Daytona, 675 Street Triple, and the 1050 Tiger. These are bikes that lead the industry and win awards. They have an opportunity to do something similar in the cruiser line with a big parallel twin if it combines performance with appearance.
