touch up tank paint

Well, I got my first paint ding on my tank from something, its pretty small, but is down to the primer. So I have never used touch up paint before, will just any plain black touch up paint work, anyone have experience with this? What the best way to touch it up so it will last, and what products are the best?

Triumph do their own touch up paint - little tube with a brush included

Or how about this

Hey j,
When I bobbed my fender I touched up a burr mark with automobile touch up black. You have to look real hard to see it because the two blacks look the same, the touch up spot is just not smooth. That's my vote, but I would hate for you to go on my word alone on a noticable part of your tank. try it on a spot that's out of the way first.

I noticed that my Triumph Aegean Blue touch-up paint does not match my Aegean Blue bodywork very well. The touch-up paint is darker. But at least it more or less matches and prevents rusting.

I've never been able to apply touch-up paint in an inconspicuous manner, no matter what I do, so the slight color mismatch is not a big problem in that context. It's going to be a visible touch-up regardless.
