SoCal?

OK, I'll bight. I live in Tasmania, and we're a bit simple down here, but what is this SoCal I keep seeing in people's locations? Sound like some form of softdrink to me

Dave.

Sorry - Southern California. I'm in Orange County, aka "the OC"

Thanks Dick. I probably should have been more perceptive, but it really had me stumped. Not that familiar with US geography, really.

dnyman,

People from Los Angeles (LA), Orange County (the OC), San Fernando Valley (The Valley), San Bernardino and Riverside Counties (The inland Empire) usually travel a lot throughout Southern California so they often just say they are from SoCal (Southern California). Much like the geography down your direction people can have breakfast at the beach and dinner in the mountains.

Don't worry about your lack of knowledge about SoCal. I can guarantee you know more about SoCal than people up here know about Tasmania. The pictures I have seen of your area are amazing, must be a great place to ride.

Hey Dnyman, where abouts are you in Tasmainia? When I was in the Navy we pulled into Hobart a couple of times. Absolutely beautiful! And the people were amazingly friendly. I want to take the wife there someday.

NJ = New Jersey. Here, you can have breakfast in a politically corrupt state and then have dinner in a politically corrupt state, and on and on and on....
