If yours is gone, so is the screw that holds it in. Man, that is a tiny screw. You'll have to hunt around to find one. Start checking local bike shops for crash cases. Those knobs are probably commonly used for speedo manufacturers.

odometer reset
Yep, mine fell off also @ around week two of break in period. Dealer gave me the replacement knob and screw (under warranty). Took about5 days to get them. For the life of me I can't get the dang thing to fit.

Dave1068, you can have my knob, if I can find it. This is the knob for the speedo-only version. (The knob for the speedo/tacho combo is different, which is why I have the original knob.)
I don't have an extra screw.
PM me if you want it.

I lost my reset knob, but was able to replace it (and the miniscule screw) without much fuss. I gently pushed on the knob (there is a slight interference fit) and installed the screw with a little thread-lock. I've not had any more problems since...

yeah mine fell off too. My dealer ordered a replacement but let me take one from a display bike so I wouldn't need to wait.

I broke mine off, went to the dealer in Brisbane, $11 for the knob and $2 for the screw, i told him where to go real quick, not paying $2 for a little screw you can hardly see, went to a motorcycle shop that sells after markets part, got 1 for a HD Sportster (chrome) a little sanding on the knob and it fitted, came with the screw cost $5

More than a plastic knob
I managed to break mine off where the brass screw goes into the speedo itself. It's annoying because I use that trip counter all the time. Dealer told me the only option was to buy a new speedometer! I'm hoping I can get someone to drill out the part of the screw that snapped off in the brass collar that then connects to the plastic knob that people here are referring to. Anyone have the actual brass screw shaft that goes into the speedo itself? Or any other solutions? (apart from hitting myself over the head for snapping it off in the first place!)

Surfdog posted about this on another forum [EDIT: Actually, this forum]. I replaced my OE knob with a chrome knob for Harley's. There are two knobs used by Triumph: For the single speedo-only models, there is the "mushroom head" knob and for the T100 or tach-equipped bikes, there is the smaller 'cone' knob. I do believe the mushroom knob is longer than the cone version. The HD knobs are the cone knobs with a chrome finish.
Sorry, I promised the T100 knob to Surfdog, but I can find a mushroom knob, you are welcome to it.
I'll post again if I find one. You know we all have tool boxes and desk drawers full of spare nuts, bolts, brackets and such... only mine are in 55 gallon drums!
/Mike
