Staintunes + AB Restrictor Removed

Hi all,

I've done a bit of searching but not found much info.

I have Staintunes on my EFI T100 with O2 Sensors, AI and Snorkel removed + a K&N filter. It runs smoothly.

Will I benefit from removing the AB restrictor plate and putting in a new ECU map? If so can anyone recommend a map?

Thanks.

Might as well do the restrictor. I did it myself a few weeks aog, 2013 T100 SMQ. Wasn't nearly as hard as I had heard. I had the Triumph Twin Power guide to performing this, and it was stating to remove the fender, battery area hold down bolts and fuel injector rubber boots so that the whole a AB could be lifted to allow access to a hidden screws on the rightside cover plate.

By taking a careful look at all the screw positions, only 3 are difficult to reach...and I found I could slowly turn them using medium to small sized slip jaw pliers (no need to pull the tail fender/battery & injector boots). The thinner the jaws the easier the access will be. Whole job took me about 45 min total. Cleaning off the original sealing compound around the periphery of the cover plate & AB opening took a good 20 minutes...used some ethanol to clean off some oily places before apply a silicone sealant bead.
Another tip would be to source 3 or more of the 12 panel screws as hex head bolts....use those for the hard to reach rearmost positions and just use a small box end or ring wrench instead of the slip jaws.

Following this I ran the bike for a few days and it was ok...but the whole point was to prep the bike for the TTP#3 re-map...which was quite a noticeable difference in throttle response.

Prior to going all TTP, I had the Arrows 2-2 remap running with stock airbox setup, AI & O2 all stock. That remap solved the harsh popping/backfires from the NH Togas, but idle was a little rough and throttle snatchy.

Togas are >18" long as per the TTP #3 requirement. I had quite a few issues getting the Tune program downloaded/installed due to my antivirus/firewall software, but ultimately it all worked. You will also need the correct cable to connect your laptop to your bike (~$20 on Ebay).

I have done their Breathe air intake mouth, their tune, AI & O2 deletes (BC blank plug fittings used), K&N Filter, De-snorkel & De-restrictor plate. Bike is running nice and more responsive than before.
