My Tracker build

I've always thought about building something, a bike that mostly was my choice right or wrong, I've always fancied the flat tracking look and it would mean I wouldn't have to grow a beard etc :wink2: so I managed to find a 2001 790cc carb Bonnie locally in January 2015 for just over £2000 and started the slow process of tear down, modify and rebuild, still a long way to go but here are some pics of progress so far.

Hi Tribury, I removed the light surface corrosion mostly by hand with various wire brushes etc, and after treating and chromate I gave everything a coat of satin PJ1 in our spray oven at work, not sure how hard wearing it will be, I wasn't happy with finish on the cam, clutch or alternator cover so had them satin powder coated.

Only quickly painted tank to get rid of blue, still working on paint design.

QZIMDO the seat height is now 33 inches (840mm) compared to 30.5 inches (775mm) for 2001 model however that is with no fuel tank or carbs and new forks/shocks so I would think it would settle a bit when fully built, fuelled and ridden.

Sonicboom the side cases were from Mule in California, I can't remember what they cost, but I'm sure I got a good deal, the only slight problem I have is that I have LSL reasets which relocates the rear brake master cylinder this is causing the R/H side panel to stick out a bit, but I think it makes the bike more 'chunky' so no problem, cases are top quality though.
