Red face 2008 America

Have you seen the tank on the 2008 America? It is lower, fatter, with no engine cutouts and a tank badge that looks all the world like a decal. Some may like the new shape. I don't.

Oops-I said no "engine cutouts." I meant to say "no kneepad cutouts"

Very different..
Looks like they're still fitting carbs. I thought Triumph were having to bring in fuel injection (although looking like carbs) for 2008? maybe they've copied these well or is there a different spec down under?

The reflection of the building behind the photographer makes the new tank badge look screwy, but if you look at it long enough you can make out that it is a badge.

I kind of like the new badge. It seems to be like the pre 08 badge, but with a "overhang" added to it.

I'd like to try sitting on the new bikes. The knee cutouts were a key reason why I bought my '07 speedmaster. I have short legs and on every other bike I rode with forward controls the tank seemed to be in the way.
