Tommaselli Grips Available?

I miss my old Tommaselli Granturismo grips - common on early Triumphs and other Brit iron. They were fat and squishy [I just opened myself up for jokes on that one].

NewBonneville and BellaCorse carry a similar retro-style grip, but it isn't the same. Granturismos are ribbed [another joke opportunity].

Granturismos are available, but marketed for restoration. None that I've found spec for the new Bonneville. The ones for 1" bars are 5" or longer (i.e., too long), and also have closed ends. Has anyone fit a pair, or if not, found an equivalent that is just as comfortable?

yeh i have been hunting for them as well .you can buy them anywhere for classic bikes, 7/8 bars but for inch bars i cant find them the ones l have seen, called is it football grips? are not the same there was a bonny on this site with grantourismo grips fitted, but it had black bars they might have been 7/8 bars with shims in the clamp, been thinking about buyig two 7/8 sets the twist grip is one inch and possibly heating the other one inch one in hot water and expand it over the twist grip if you know what i mean ..

Try this

These guys have a lot of vintage style grips. Keep looking through "handlebar accessories" and you'll see all they have.

Those beston grips (johnnyeastside's link) should do the trick, you will just need to cut the ends off if you run bar ends, etc. FYI the "football" grips sold by suppliers of new bonnie parts are an improvement over stock but not by much.

Simple Solutions

Thanks also to Johnny and Ben. Cutting the ends off - didn't think of that. I imagine that the rubber is robust enough to keep its shape.
