Wink ai

There was a picture thread a while back. Find it on the WIKI site if you can figure how to get there? Easy as said under tank. Take it off & remove all the attached junk. Put in your plugs/ bolts & your done .Takes about 1 hr takin your time. Makes a real differemnce! While your at it - wire tie up all the hangin wires under there. Cleans things up real nice!

Here's a link for AI removal ...

He does it on the cheap. If I were doing it, I'd use an AI removal kit with all the bits, it's cheap enough anyway (around $25).

I went w/ the BC AI removal, they come with instructions and well worth the 25.$ and what was crazy is that the ai reed valve mounting location and bolts were perfect for grounding nology cables! almost like it was ment to be..

The AI valve mounting holes and screws are good for relocating or installing a new horn too. It's a perfect space as long as the horn is not too big.

fill in the newbie

What's the injector there for? and why would one want to remove it?

I imagine not just to make it easier to access the plugs...

The air injector is there to help the bonneville pass emission standards. It helps burn up gas in the headers before it leaves the pipes. Take the stuff off...it's not needed it all

ai

Its like the cars of the 70's. They had an air pump that pumped air over the exhaust valves. A very PRIMITAVE form of pollution control! Get rid of it!~!
Does very little for polluton as if bikes poluted that much? Does much bad for your Bonne tho!
