FlyScreen feedback
Thinking hard about a flyscreen-just to take a bit of pressure off the chest as I can deal with the wind just fine.I've read quite a bit on this on the RAT but figured it is worth one more discussion. So, please pipe in with your comments, and thanks. BTW, I'm 6 foot, 190, and added the bar risers to get the bars just right. Like many of you, TOR's, AI removal kit, new seat, tires and jets. Gotta say I'm really digging my 04 Bonne Black. Put just under 3500 miles in the last 6 weeks!

I Can Hack It Bare
Like you, was considering the flyscreen to help with the wind buffeting, but after researching the feedback on this site about the ups and downs of windscreens, have decided to continue to ride without. Like you, I am 6'0 and 190 and I ride with a facescreen and have found a "sweetspot" at 80 MPH with my Bonny, even on the interstate, which I usually avoid. IMHO, the Bonny looks better without ANY screen. My recommendation is to ride a few more miles without any screen and see if your comfort level gets better before trying one.

I have the dart fitted to my bike, good points are it takes the wind off your chest and that makes the ride so mutch better at speed. down side a lot more air and windnoise around the helmet, if i were u lower bars and lean into the wind would be worth trying ,screens have there good and bad points
i have just fitted the mra vario screen as i have ahuge trip comming up, and have also just bought a new shoei XR1000 helmet, cant report on things yet still sorting it out..But keep seaching these posts for information..

I have the Triumph Fly Screen, and realy like it, it lessens the wind
on your chest so your arms are relaxed, and ceeps the bugs off
your tack and speedo, also does not take away from the machines
looks. I have tryed large Screens and do not care for them. They seem to isulate me from the surroundings.
I am 6' 200 lbs. and ride 70 -75 mph most of the time.

I used a modified triumph fly screen for several hundred miles- it does take a good bit of air off your chest. I liked the way it performed, but did not like the way it looked so ended up selling it.

I used the National Flyscreen and found that it did a good job of diverting a good bit of wind pressure. However, it's mounting system caused the headlight to point higher at speed...something that I didn't like. I damaged the screen in an accident a couple of years ago and have never been moved to replace it. The Superbars and rearsets seem to give me all of the comfort and ease of control that I need...

I've got one on my Thrux and I like it a lot. Anytime over 75mph I can duck down and the head buffeting stops. Out here in the boonies we have BUGS and their juice. The screen keeps them off the instruments and diverts a major portion over my head. There is more wind noise but since I've got preds and drive a lot of hiway miles I also wear earplugs to take the edge off. To me it adds to the overall look of my Thrux.

I have a bonne with the MRA speed screen, its several inches higher than the triumph one and I think adds to the look of the bike. Here's a pic if you're on the fence,

If it goes on it comes off. I take mine on and off as the mood strikes me.
Only takes a few minutes and I have a new look to sit and glare at in the garage!
Right now I am enjoying my lay-flat instrument mount look so it is not on the bike. Try it , you'll like it! Or E-Bay it!
