Arrow bonnie choke "sticky" ?

2005 bonnie black runs great when warmed up, starts cold with the choke all-the-way-out... but the choke seems to be either open or closed... no in-between... no way to idle it down while it warms up. is this normal ? how do you adjust the choke ? thanks

All the way out is..well, all the way out. all the way in is just that. and anywhere in between is also just that. unless yours has some sort of malfunction

Mine seems to work fine. Try maybe a squirt of WD-40 on the mechanism?

I just tap mine I little with my knuckle instead of pushing the knob. You can get it to stay about 1/2 way in. Beats turning the idle up then trying to turn the idle back down while riding once it warms up.

Thumbs up

I think if you put an 8-Ball Choke Pull found in the classifieds for a reduced RAT price it would solve the problem!

Mine too!

Yea,
Mine is kinda stiff too! I'm talking about my choke control!!! It seems that trying to adjust it somewhere in between full and off is very difficult to achive. It's not impssible mind you it's just seem extra stiff. Never has been a deal-breaker. The squirt of lube would probably be a good idea.

Happy choking!

Wink

I fire mine up, on the side stand, soon as she's running, I push the choke back to the halfway position, then get helmet, gloves etc on, and wheel the bike out of its little parking place, by then its been about 2 mins on half choke....

Soon as I pull outta my complex & get into 3rd, choke goes off...no problem at all.

yeah, mines sticky too but I kind of got the hang of just tapping it with my knuckle, I can slowly tap it as the engion revs go up untill I get about 5 blocks and then its closed

Haha nice.

I pull my choke all the way out. Fire it up and ride out. After a few minutes I push the choke all the way in while riding not stopped. If I do it while stopped the bike wants to die; no problems if I do it while in motion.
