Test ride - King & Queen Seat (Kent -UK)

Calling all you UK RATs - Can anyone help me?

I would like to buy a more comfortable seat for my T100 (I know that this will shock some of you!) and I have been considering a Triumph King & Queen seat.

I would really like to try one out before I order one and I was wondering if any of you guys in Kent would be kind/brave/stupid enough to lend me one for a hour or so at some convenient moment.

I would also be interested in hearing from anyone who has a second hand seat for sale as my wife has still not got over the shock of saying yes to the Bonnie last month!

Thanks,

Paul

Paul - your welcome to try mine out, just have to come to GA. What I can confirm is the K&Q is one of the most comfortable seats going. I have had Corbins - Gunfighter, Have a Smuggler on the Thrux, and have tried a Gun Fighter and Lady with back rest. That being said - the triumph K&Q beats them all including the stock board and the Thrux stock seat.

The downside to the K&Q is it looks somewhat out of place on the bike (to me anyway) - styling more suited to the Speedie's and America's rather than the Bonneville. But for comfort it can't be beat. It's the same as a lazy-boy recliner with handlebars. Your girl will love you for it.

Thanks for the offer thrux-ton-up!

I think that the commute might be a bit much for me as you seem to be in North Georgia and I am in Kent in the United Kingdom!

Interested to read that you find the K&Q to be the most comfortable. I share your concerns about looks and that is one of the reasons I want to see one on my bike before ordering one!

Thanks again for your generous offer,

Paul

K&Q seat

I have used and sold one on. Seat comfort is best improved by fitting lower bars. Hydes M Bars are perfect.
These take some of the weight off the rear.

The KQ is very comfy, and noone sees it when i am riding 2 up.
If you are parking for the day just refit the stock.

Got go along with those favoring the K-Q. I have one and have done a couple of 500 mile days and no seat/b*tt related issues, at all. Some people don't llike the looks of it but when you're sitting on it you don't have to look at it. And in reality it looks okay, just not as sexy as the singles with cowl.

I've got one

I baought my 05 t100 bike with 1,400 miles on it about 4 weeks ago from a seller that put one on it. He gave me the original seat with the bike. I am selling the King & Queen Seat for $ 225.00 plus shipping. It is in excelllent condition. Let me know if you are interested pmaya70@yahoo.com. I also have a Roadster Screen for $ 260.00 plus shipping and a pair of Tiumph leather panniers including the rails for $280.00 plus shipping.

Thanks nwraindevel,

Any idea how much it would cost to ship it to the UK?

Here is my zip code

I would call your local shipping company and give them my zip and yours. They should be able to calculate the cost. The seat weighs about 5 pounds or less. My zip is 97116 USA. Thank you.
