I'm a relatively new rider, but I like tinkering on stuff (so I bought a Bonnie).
Anyway - I tinker on bicycles quite a bit and am fairly confident with that, but I want to wrench on my scoot. A few things I want to do are fork gaiters, new pipes, maybe an AI removal. All, I hear are relatively straight forward. Airbox might be down the road, but I hear that's a bigger job - or is it? Anyway, this all seems relatively straight forward until I get to the part about rejetting the carbs. It seems half art, half science (but frankly I haven't read up enough to really know much about doing it). I hear "idle jets" "main jets" "idle screws" etc. and my eyes glaze over.
I just purchased the Haynes Repair Manual - will that go over everything? Is the carb removal and tinkering easy? Or am I just asking for trouble here?
Any insite would be of great help.
Thanks
