Unhappy Sixty8 Tank Badge issue...

A month or so ago i added the new Triumph Polycarbonate Tank Badges to my Bonnie. It wasn't too long after that i noticed small cracks on both badges around where they are bolted on. I checked to see if they were on too tight, which they were not.

Since then they have progressively gotten worse. I checked with Triumph who assured me they would warranty them out for me. I dropped them off at a dealer here and am waiting to hear back from them...

Has anyone else had this problem with the Polycarbonate Tank Badges? I just don't want to get stuck with the same issue again...they were a bit pricey to just live with it.

Thanks...

Badge Issue

I did as well! I spilled some gas and it went down the right side of the tank, cracks appeared on the spot! This is obviously a design flaw as where they drilled the holes in the plastic, it's vulnerable to the gas...cheap garbage.

Unhappy

That sucks man...I really liked the way they looked. I'm going to be careful as hell with my replacement badges and see if i can't pull off keeping the cracks at bay.

bogus.

I wonder if some rubber washers would help this situation.
