I haven`t sat on a Smuggler, but I have a Gunfighter and a Gunfighter and lady. They are both ultra hard with only about 3/4" of foam over the pan in the sitting area.My butt is too bony to fully realize the "comfort" that Corbin touts.I have had 2 Triumph solo`s along with a couple [or more] of the Thrux and K&Q also. The solo is only one notch down in comfort from the K&Q.Its softer than a Thrux but less supportive because the hump is too far back for me [5'7"] to utilize during most riding situations. The Thrux looks the best of Triumphs seats,to me,because it is narrow, with a subdued hump.IMO,the solo stomps the Corbin for comfort at about the 1/3 of the price..That said,I`ll continue to build my own, thanks.

I have a Corbin Gunfighter and I do not have a bony butt like rodburner (it's old but not bony),and I have found the seat comfortable from day one.

Tried Both...
I had the Scrambler solo seat w/ rack, it was a firm but soft seat. Overall comfortable. I recently got the Corbin Gunfighter. My first thought was - this is going to be a hard seat. But once up & riding I found it to be ergonomically fitting, its firm and definitly not soft but it's comfortable. My rear fits perfectly in the mold. Just enough padding and the ergonomics is perfect. I think the over-riding factor is the fit. I'm very happy with it!

have the Corbin gunfighter and lady and really like the seat. It does sit wider than stock, which is one of the reason's Corbin says it's a more comfortable ride. Give's better support. No more butt pain when riding.

2 up riding
OK - so I have been reading this thread and I have to come in now because I can't stand the factory board that Triumph put on my beautiful 2007 Black! I actually need 2 seats - one for 2 up riding so my wife will come out on Sundays and one for solo riding. I have decided that for solo riding I will go with the Triumph Solo with rack and see how that goes. I am very close to pulling the trigger on the Gunfighter & Lady seat over the Triumph K&Q for 2 up riding. I am now back on the fence when I read that Rodburner thinks the GF&L is ultra hard - this is what I currently am sitting on with the OEM seat that came with it. RT states he likes it but doesn't confirm whether it is hard or not. The GF&L looks nicer on the bike then the K&Q but like its been said many times - you don't see the seat when your on it! So my question is GF&L or K&Q to get the wife on the back for the Sunday cruise?

Buy your wife her own bike and buy the paint matched Corbin Smuggler.

That's not an option! It is tough enough getting her on that hard seat for a Sunday drive right now - if she doesn't go on that Sunday drive then I get stuck with going to the fish store, flower nursery, Home Depot, Supermarket, etc. So I have to make it fun & comfortable for her to bring her into our world one day a week. She is about to ride her own bike as fast as she is going to WWF or Monster Truck! She would rather hold hands while strolling down main street window shopping than sitting on the back of my Bonnie with that God awful stock seat!
