Air injection removal info?

I got the air injection kit from British customs and it came with four rubber plugs. I know the one spot to plug from the valve but does anyone have some info or pics on the other three.
Thanks for your help...

I'm not totally sure as I did mine as a DIY job, but I only needed to fill two holes. The big one on top of the airbox, for which I used a cork and some Dum-Dum, and the vacuum plug, which was some vacuum hose and a self tapping woodscrew in the end of it.

As far as I remember that was the lot.

This is what helped me

http://www.labradorretriever.se/airemoval/

I only used the big plug on the airbox and a small acorn type rubber cap on the carb where he has chosen to leave a bit of hose and use a screw. Remove the entire screw and put the rubber cap. So I only used two plugs on the whole set up.

extra plugs

Keep a few with you-they have been known to fly off from time to time. If the bike starts to pop real bad as you roll off the gas it's the first place to check. Got that tip from others on this board. Thanks all!

silly question, but this doesn't void the warranty or anything, does it?

It's not a silly question TC, but yes you are right - any modification, repair or replacement must be completed by a Triumph dealer else they could void the warranty. Also it might contravene pollution laws by removing the AI system. But it is so much fun removing it - similar to how women felt when they burned their bras - liberating!

Technically if you TOUCH the bike it voids the warranty. In fact many dealers will remove the AI for you if you ask. AND since it is an environmental issue if you remove it you are in violation of federal law. Other than that it is OK to do it.

Monte

BTW: I still have my AI, but not for any of the reasons cited above. Think green......................

Any Pics 07's

Well i should have noted that its an 2007 Bonneville black. I think there is some differance in the vacum ports on the carb manifolds, there is the same vacum port on the other manifold. I got the 12mm bolt plugs in the cylinders and the air injection valve removed and the hose that went to the left manifold pluged and the air box removal kit (brit customs) so no plug needed for that, but i still have three vacum plugs and i think they go somewhere. Pics would be great of your carbs on both sides 2007 bonnie for referance.
Thanks for all the time and help,

What's happened to the good old days? Nearly 20 years ago I asked a BMW dealer where I'd just moved what happened if one of the K100RS's running Luftmeister turblchargers (there were a bunch of them riding out of his shop) had a warranty issue.

His response: " You guys don't buy these bikes for anything but the fun of riding. If a turbo makes it more fun, then go have fun".

He is now deceased, and that's too bad. I miss the old guard shop owners that understood why many of us bought bikes from them, and would stand up for the customer instead of following a strict company line. Of course, back then, many of the owners had been weekend racers in the 1950's, 60's and 70's. Very few of them left today.

R.I.P.

Bob
