Tonite when I got home after work, my right rear turn signal was dangling by the wire. I dont think it could have been off too long, as it didnt get a chance to beat up my fender. Ah well, its been a while since anthing had the temerity to fall off. I hope it aint a trend!

Wow! sorry to hear about that brother! Maybe we all better start keeping a roll of duc tape hanging off one of the rearsets for an emergency! I know many bike manufacturers use lightweight (cheap) plastic for the turn signals on their bikes but our lovely Triumphs seem to reach a new level of cheesy-ness in their design and material choices of certain components. Of course a company needs to cut corners sometime but those areas of my Triumph are kinda embarrassing. Anyway, hope you get your piece fixed soon, those crazy cagers need to know which way we are turning!
Already replaced the ft signals. The back are drroopin a little so thety are commin up soon! @ $14 / set I think i can afford it. Just the time to do it. Rather ride!!

The same thing happened to my front right signal within about 200 miles of leaving the dealership. The nut that holds the signal in place had backed almost all the way out, and I noticed the signal dangling on the last few threads. I tightened it up with my fingers, checked the other three and continued on. Come to think of it, I don't think I ever took a wrench to that nut since that happened. I guess finger tight was good enough. Makes me wonder how loose it was from the dealership.
Just replaced my signals with Lucas style ones. Once you have the OEM ones off the bike and in your hand you won't believe how light and cheap they feel. Read "Dollar Store".
Put a wrench to the bike ever now and again. A bit of vibration on these bikes. Should be a torque sheet somewhere on this site if you don't have a manual.
Ditto new lights. Signals and stop lamp were swapped out soon after the purchase.
What is it exactly that you guys DO on those bikes, anyway? NOTHING falls off my bike - well, this bike, anyway! After the deer wars with the Tbird just about everything "fell off" the right side. Then again sliding 150' on tarmac will tend to do that!
the problem is probably the design, its real hard to get a wrench in there, so its probably not too tight from the factory. The plan is to use the ol locktite on it this weekend, I am not quite ready to replace it but if it falls off again, its gonna hafta walk

are those rubber isolated, or metal to metal bolted on?
