OK OK I know how the purists feel. If you're having a bad day, go ahead and vent on me, I can take it. For the more open-minded of you, lol, I present for your viewing pleasure, my latest shots. Acquired the Union Mono tank cover for the Black, now I cannot decide between the stock bench (more retro looking) and the contemporary (a tad more comfortable). Still to come: Installation of the D9 brackets (in hand), new bars (M?, BCSuper?), shocks (when I get more $$), and saddlebags to cover up those spiffy "speed bars" which are presently used to anchor my red bungee net.

Comments??

I want a Union Jack tank cover, I am just not sure if I want the mono or the colored.

Not sure which would look better on the yellow.

Maybe it's the wrong can of worms to open, but ... what's so terribly wrong with the Union Jack tank cover? I didn't get the memo.

I am not sure about that either, on a similar note. This 4th of July the parade asked for motorcycles to ride in the parade. So off I go, riding, helmet and all. Halfway through the parade, I get to thinking "Independence day from British control." Then I realize I have the union jack flag on my helmet and two on the bike.

I am sure I was moments away from a revolt.

My feelings has mellowed for some of the 68 stuff. I've seen some of the applications, like BlueJ's looking darn good.

I also saw the cream colored cover that comes with the big "68" on a Bonnie painted the same cream color that looked sharp. The racing stripes on the cover were repeated on the cowl and back fender. Clever and cool.

I haven't seen the flower-power cover ever look good anywhere, but I'm open...

As for any of us being purists, check your bike's logo. In my opinion, if the swooping R doesn't circle back and cross the H, you have forfeited your "purist" privileges.

Oh that's too funny. That's the kinda stuff that makes great stories later. :hihi:

Looks killer, BlueJ. I love it. :upthumb:

I like the look of the stock seat better on your bike. Kinda surprising actually.

Bar end mirrors would look great. Esp crg's.

Ya I'd bought some of the 68 series parts for my Truxton, seat cowl, side covers and the tank cover. Keep in mind that I had a two tone BMW Boxer Cup Prep before this bike. It now has the bumble bee thing going on, yellow over black.
