Just done the jets and Uni Filter but Im still getting poppin on over run.

The setup is::

Main jet 125
Pilot 42
Mixture screws 3 turns
Uni Filter
Snorkles removed
TOR short exhaust

Should I back out the mixture screws another turn?

Also during testing, I maxed the rev limiter in 2nd and 3rd gear and the bike cut out, pulled over and restarted and its OK again.. any ideas on that??

you might have to bump up the main jets.

I am running 130's with my UNI and scepter pipes.

but back the screws out first and see what happens, it is easy enough and costs nothing.

As Mag said I would turn your mixture screws out 1/2 turn each for the popping issue and up the mains to 130

Called Peter from Jenks Jets and he reckons up the pilots to .45, they are the ones causing the low revs poppin.

I only just upped the mains from 120 to 125.. top end its fine..

Peter also mentioned that not to turn the mixture screws out too much as they may fall out completly, apprently they aint that long

Anyway, new pilots on order.

Thanks, TrOjAn

HAve you blocked off the Secondary Air Injection???
Popping on deceleration is caused by that system.
Thats the hose and pipe right by the spark plugs.
Get a block off kit for the SAI and your popping will be gone

Matt_the_Rat,

Thats the first thing I removed as it used to be poppin at any revs on closed throttle... Ill try the pilots first, then move on to others if that dont work.

BorgCymru,

Jenks Bolts Peter Jenks is a real Gent, very helpful and knows a lot about the Bonny engines.

TOR short exhausts

TROJANUK,
You said you had TOR short exhausts. I am looking for some shorter TORs. But all I have seen look similar in length to stock. Where did you find your and how much shorter than stock are they? Thanks and good luck with the popping.
