So...

I thought my mods were over for a while - to recap:
I had TOR put on my '05 790 and it was rejetted.
Then I noticed it was popping and backfiring when down shifting and great sound.

Then I removed the snorkel and the 'plugs' (whatever they were) in the AI.
Then I replaced the filter with a K&N one.

And is it just my imagination or did it have a better sound at lower revs than it does now. It's like it's got higher end and less torque low down in the rev range.

My imagination?
Problem is that my dealership is adamant it doesn't need rejetted but I'm sure there is too much air and not enough fuel getting thru...

Did you remove the airpump? If not pull the tank check for the vacuum tubes leading to the pump, remove pump and spend 20cents at the auto store for rubber plugs for your carbs where the lines went to and you're all set.
! The dealership didn't take mine off when the AI and Preds were put on and she backfired between shifts and on motor braking. Hope that solves your prob.
