Just wanted to ask a simple question and introduce myself..

I've been riding an '82 Honda Magna V45 750 I am thinking about buying a new Bonneville. Is there going to be a HUGE power difference between the two?

It doesn't matter because you will be riding a Triumph Bonneville and you will be hanging out with guys like us! Hurry up and pull the trigger on her and join the club.

Funny My last bike (before crash) was a V45 Magna! Had many Honda's & I think that was 1 of their best!!
Getting a Bonne? Myh 1st bike was a 65 Bonne. The new ones are a new animal. Very authentic, but a lot faster, much smoother , handle as good or better (better w/ mods) , and most important VERY reliable & cleaner (no oil leakers). Its an exclusive club. Wherever you go people will gather around & ask questions, relate their past on a Bonne on & on. The bike is a blast to ride. Fast enuff (w/ mods-faster) handles like a gazelle (w/ mods awesome) & a part of history. If you get one (comming from a V45), you wont be dissapointed!! Do- post a pic!! & Good luck

Bonnies are beyond cool. Hondas are... well, Hondas. Great bikes, but not very interesting. Join the few, the proud, the Bonneville clan.

One of my buddies has a 750 Magna...nice bike. You won't see much difference in power, but you'll see loads of difference in the cool factors.

Huge personality difference The Honda's Ho Hum/boring. The Bonnie's like hanging out with your favorite dog.

Stealth - that's the funniest thing I heard all day - even funnier than that stupid Bobber in the other post.

Seriously, everyone looks at the Bonne's. Even when I miss a look my wife will tap me and tell me someone gave her the thumbs up - and they liked the bike too!
:-D

Two very different animals. The Bonnie will not have any more power than the Magna. The Magna is one He** of a bike and I see no need to put it down in order to hype the Bonnie. (Why do we keep doing that?)

Buy the Bonnie. Keep the Magna. It isn't worth all that much on the market given its age and it will be a fun bike for local riding and a good backup when the Bonnie is down, and vice versa; liability insurance on it is negligible.
