I am looking to upgrade the rear suspension on my 790 bonnie black, I've done the air box removal, and installed the predators. Any advise I will apreciate. I am also looking to upgrade the tires, want something sticky, still running stock and am strating not to trust them. Thanks

BB,

I put Ikon's on both ends of my T100. The difference was huge. The head shake I had experienced once or twice went away completely. Handles like its on rails. If your planning on only changing the rear shocks, think twice about it. When you put in the rear shocks you'll see how bad the front springs are.

Now as for tires. I replaced my stock Metzlers (Lazertec up front and Z2 in the rear) with Metzler Lazertec's on both ends.

I've used Metzler's in the past on other bikes and I really like them, they stick and are very good in the rain.

I swapped to the Pirrelli Sport Demons after reading great reviews on this site. They appear to be wearing pretty fast but they are awesome. Very predictable and way sticky.

Defintely get some springs for the front, I scored some from bikebandit. I too have been struggling over shocks and just bought a set of used KYB's off of a 04 ZRX1200, they arrive Friday, cannot wait to get them to see if I wasted my money. For the money Ikon's seem a good choice. Any reputable manufacturers shock will be an good improvement. I wanted the Ohlin's but could not spend the money and not get rebound dampening. When I called Traxxion to see what they would charge to revalve they tried to sell me Bitubo's whick I think would be a trick option although a bit on the odd looking side. I guess that depends on the bike and what your going for.
