Bike: '07 Thruxton
Been Riding: 35 years +
Other Bikes Recently Owned: '2005 ZX10R (Fully Tracked Out), '99 Victory, another '99 Victory, 90 GIX 750, '73 Yammie 650 Twin

Latest Riding: 1500 + miles on 3 week old Thruxton, last two years - Track Only on ZX10R (NESBA "A" Group)

had some health and family issues that required me to hang up the 170 + HP track bike and so I bought the thruxton because it was slow, and it is slow, comparitively. Additionally I decided I was tired of dealing with a monster inline 4, just too much bike, especially for the street.

Likes: Coolness Factor, corner turn-in, the abilty to just slam the throttle open and not have to nurse her into full tilt boogie as I approach the apex...I like being able to just ride the ***** outta the bike, and still be somewhat safe and sane..i likes being able to tinker with it I can change jets without removing carbs in about a half hour

Dislikes and Planned improvements: Stock motor is all clogged up, have fixed that with no AI, Opening up Stock AirBox and going to a 125 main..the handling, although good in smooth situations, isn't that good over bumps and irregularities, really makes the bike lurch and jump, not a good thing. Plan to replace springs and shocks. Needs a steering damper.

All in all would like to be able to take this bike to a local track day (Summit Point WV JC circuit) that is tight and technical and run with the SV's Once I fix the suspension, and possibly go to the 904 motor, I think I could hang

Fun experience so far...and thanks to those of you offering your "how tos"...has helped me tremendously.
